Coaching
During private lessons I work with the dog myself as well as working side by side coaching you on how to utilize the positive reinforcement training techniques. A a result, this gives you the confidence and the tools to carry on throughout your dog’s lifetime. Consequently, you’ll learn how to control your dog in life’s everyday situations so that he and your family can live in peace and harmony together. I offer puppy training and dog training to all ages and breeds.
Location
All private lessons are at your home or location of choice such as a local park. In packages when the dog is ready, for instance, we take our lessons out in public with distractions which is an important element for strengthening the behaviors that he has learned. I am always willing to meet in a local park, however, if you live outside of my service areas of Mission Viejo, Rancho Santa Margarita, Lake Forest, and Trabuco Canyon. I have limited availability for Dana Point, Laguna Niguel, Aliso Viejo and San Clemente and there is an extra location fee of $15+/visit.
Fees
Per Lesson fee is on a sliding scale per quantity purchased. Therefore the more you buy the more you save! Every lesson is tailored to suit your individual dog. Packages are customized to fit your needs and budget. Please call for details.
8 Lessons
For Puppies 3 months and older
This package is appropriate for 3 months old and up. If your dog has already had some previous training we will pick up where you left off and continue improving and expanding on all obedience behaviors. Is your puppy already a little older? No problem! It’s never too late to start. Private lessons take place at your home and away if desired and as your dog is ready. Examples of things covered include Down, Come, Sit, Stay, loose leash walking, Go to Your Mat, Wait, and boundaries. Lessons are customized to fit your needs. Common behavior problems such as jumping, dog reactivity, counter surfing, door bolting and more may be addressed. Includes customized written homework instructions, phone and email support.- 8 lessons

Obedience Training
6 Lessons
For puppies 6 months – 2 years old
- Following Puppy Preschool and Puppy Kindergarten, we continue working on obedience behaviors. There are developmental time periods (the teenager phase) within this age range that can present challenges and feel like they’ve forgotten everything you’ve taught them. It’s important to keep training fresh and consistent to weather this phase. We improve reliability with adding distance, duration, and distractions to all behaviors. We proof them in different settings away from home and add more challenging situations. If not previously taught and dog is ready, we may introduce off leash training.

- This program consists of a trainer coming to your home to work with your dog independently 3-4 times per week for 2 weeks. Transfer session with you is the final lesson of week 2. (8 meetings total)

- This program consists of a trainer coming to your home to work independently with your dog 3-4 times per week for 4 weeks. Transfer Sessions with you are the final lessons in weeks 2 and 4. (16 meetings total)
